Just months ago you were hard-pressed to find someone who knew what cake pops were, let alone companies making them. Now, they are “popping” up in every bakeshop, supermarket, and coffee house. The cake pop craze was becoming mainstream and as orders accumulated; I reached my productivity capacity and was feeling the rolling pain in my hands. As I searched for a machine that would relieve my pain I couldn’t find one that did the job. My search continually came up empty, desperate to find an “easier way”, I decided to build one myself. Over several months and through trial and error with different materials and processes, the Easy Roller was born. Content with developing the product for myself I soon discovered that ALL of my baking peers shared my same need and would benefit from this time-saving device. I learned in some cases shops were declining to make cake pops due to the amount of effort involved, literally throwing business away. The real value of my product is its simplicity. To find the perfect recipe, you first need the perfect ingredients. And that's what our founders Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz were for each other. In 1997, they joined forces, or better yet kitchens, to help make cakes to entertain their friends. The cakes they made were delicious, unlike anything anyone had tasted. As a result, their friends and family asked them to entertain more and more. They quickly realized this side project of theirs could be something more. We’re very proud of the beautiful shop that we’ve built in Peoria, Arizona. We’re very proud of the great specialty coffee that we serve from Peixoto. We’re even proud of the matte black Not Neutral mugs that we serve our drinks in. But anyone could build something nice, serve something delicious, or buy some neat drinkware. We’re proud of a lot of things, but we’re most proud of the community that we get to experience each and every day in and around our shop. And we certainly didn’t build this community – it was here in the surrounding neighborhoods and schools long before we broke ground. Rather, we saw an opportunity to serve and host this thriving community and concluded that a great coffee shop would be a great way to do this. Our Food Is Fresh… Nothing Has Been Frozen Our initial idea for a richly flavored menu was that our recipes would be made fresh every day. And, that our meats or other food groups would ‘only’ be fresh and never frozen. As we were to find out, this concept is more easily attainable in a traditional sit-down restaurant. Our model, requested by the owner, called for a drive-thru format where a totally fresh menu would be provided for a fast-food restaurant and Phoenicians on the go. The difficulty with serving fresh food in a fast-food delivery style is timing. In a regular restaurant, the food is ordered and the chef or cook puts the meats on the grill or flat top. When it’s done, it is served to the customer. However, in fast food, the traffic speeds have to be anticipated and cooked just ahead of the customer driving through the drive-up lane. Our Brushfire staff, led by Sione Saenz, was able to unlock the secrets of timing and stay committed to providing fresh, never frozen fast food to our customers that really tastes good. [read more]

Revolu, is a modern-day taqueria and bar. The name Revolu is an abbreviated name for a popular street in Tijuana Mexico, Av. Revolucion. Growing up in San Diego and being raised by Jeremiah's maternal grandparents, a lot of time was spent eating "street" food along the colorful street of Revolucion.
