Javier Ruiz immigrated to the United States in 1967 with the dream of opening a taco shop. He achieved his dream 16 years later with the help of his brother David Ruiz by opening “Cotijas Taco Shop” in El Cajon, California. Kelli James Lee & Jeff Tellman loved to cook and smoke but were hit hard by the pandemic by both the passing of their beloved brothers; Ken O'Connor & Chucky Porter and Kelli losing his kitchen manager job at Little Miss BBQ due to the pandemic. From there, through tragedy and hard times, BroBro's BBQ was founded in 2020.
