Pepe’s Restaurants have continuously served the Southland with fine quality Mexican food. Pepe’s was founded in 1962 by three brothers, Joe, Tony and Fred. Unable to find steady business at first, the location was changed several times before finally settling in Alhambra in 1962, where the name was changed permanently to “Pepe’s.” During these early years, the brothers often relied on the help of family members to keep the business growing. In 1962, their nephew “Pepe” was sent to fight in Vietnam. This is when Tony, out of love for his nephew, renamed the restaurant after him, Pepe's. In the following years, the restaurant had become a great success. However, in 1973 Tony passed away leaving Joe and Fred to run the business solely. Scrunch Dawgs specializes in Chicago-styled hot dogs prepared on a freshly steamed poppy seed bun. Using only Vienna beef for our hotdogs. Choose from our Classic Polish, Spicy Polish, Bratwurst, Classic Jumbo, and a regular-sized hotdog for those that enjoy the classic dog. Freshly prepared topping such as tomatoes, sweet onion, sweet green relish, sport pepper, dill pickle, sauerkraut, chili, cheese, celery salt, yellow mustard, spicy mustard, ketchup, and mayo. Four different chips to choose from and a variety of soft drinks, teas, Gatorade, and water. We also carry a full line of premium sodas - choose from 6 different flavors: Root Beer, Diet Root Beer, Orange and Cream, Grape, Cream Soda, and Black Cherry. Come out and enjoy a meal with us.
