Village Inn

In 1958 the first Village Inn Pancake House opened its doors in Denver, Colorado and began offering what has since made us famous— made-from-scratch buttermilk pancakes, fresh eggs cooked any style, sizzling bacon and a pot of steaming hot coffee. More than once, vacationers in Denver stopped at Village Inn for a bite to eat and enjoyed it so much that they inquired about franchise opportunities before leaving. Such requests inspired co-founders Merton “Andy” Anderson and Jim Mola to place an ad in The Wall Street Journal for prospective franchisees. Soon after, the first Village Inn franchise started operating in 1961, leading the way for successful franchise development. Our reputation for serving quality all-day breakfast endures and carries over to our lunch, dinner and our award-winning pies. Village Inn serves The Best Pie In America® – like French Silk, Lemon Supreme, Country Apple and Caramel Pecan Silk Supreme. We are proud of our tradition—and happy to be part of our guests’ daily lives. With six decades of success, we have corporate and franchise restaurants totaling more than 200, located primarily in the Rocky Mountain region, the Midwest, Arizona and Florida. Thanks to the success of this restaurant, more of the Ruiz family members were able to become more involved in the company. In 2003, the Ruiz brothers decided it’s time to expand the family business to Tennessee under the name “Oscar’s Taco Shop®.“ Today, Javier Ruiz has handed the keys to his kids and even though he is retired, he reminds them to always look forward and never look back. Pepe's Lounge

Pepe’s Restaurants have continuously served the Southland with fine quality Mexican food. Pepe’s was founded in 1962 by three brothers, Joe, Tony and Fred. Unable to find steady business at first, the location was changed several times before finally settling in Alhambra in 1962, where the name was changed permanently to “Pepe’s.” During these early years, the brothers often relied on the help of family members to keep the business growing. In 1962, their nephew “Pepe” was sent to fight in Vietnam. This is when Tony, out of love for his nephew, renamed the restaurant after him, Pepe's. In the following years, the restaurant had become a great success. However, in 1973 Tony passed away leaving Joe and Fred to run the business solely. In 1976, the youngest of the three brothers, Fred, joined in helping to expand Pepe’s Restaurants with the opening of the Downey location. Since then, Pepe’s has continued to grow, opening locations in both Los Angeles, San Gabriel Valley and Orange Counties. The restaurants have continuously served authentic, high quality Mexican food, keeping their secret recipes inside the family. This has made Pepe’s the well-known establishment it is today [read more]

Well Coffee Co.

We’re very proud of the beautiful shop that we’ve built in Peoria, Arizona. We’re very proud of the great specialty coffee that we serve from Peixoto. We’re even proud of the matte black Not Neutral mugs that we serve our drinks in. But anyone could build something nice, serve something delicious, or buy some neat drinkware. We’re proud of a lot of things, but we’re most proud of the community that we get to experience each and every day in and around our shop. And we certainly didn’t build this community – it was here in the surrounding neighborhoods and schools long before we broke ground. Rather, we saw an opportunity to serve and host this thriving community and concluded that a great coffee shop would be a great way to do this. Our doors opened in August 2019, and we haven’t looked back since. Community matters to us, and that’s exactly what pushes us to serve the best coffee with the best service. We aim to make the world of coffee simple, welcoming, and approachable for anyone who walks in through our doors (or through our wall – you’ll have to come to check it out!). More than that, the world of coffee is about building relationships and we hope to foster that spirit in everything we do. [read more]

Because of its complex flavors and deceptive simplicity, pho captured the attention of many people in the West when it was brought over via Vietnamese immigration. Events such as the unification of Vietnam under the French rule and others also delineate the history of pho; what follows is an exploration of this most beloved of Vietnamese dishes." [read more]

NakedQ BBQ

At NakedQ, we want you to feel like you’re at home, wherever home is. That’s why our mission is to give you the freedom to eat the BBQ you love. Rewind back before the birth of NakedQ, Pitboss Oren traveled all over the country & ate a lot of BBQ. While he enjoyed every bite, he also learned that it means something different depending on where you’re from: In the Carolinas, it’s not BBQ unless there’s pork and a vinegary sauce. In Memphis, you better be craving ribs. If you’re from St. Louis or Kansas City, you’re going to be expecting a tomatoey sauce. Texas BBQ is all about the beef brisket. Oren took all of these BBQ experiences from across the country and created NakedQ, where we rub, smoke and serve our meats naked (without sauce) like pork, ribs, brisket, links, turkey, and chicken with our tried and true recipes. From our North Carolina-style vinegar sauce to South Carolina mustard sauce to traditional sweet or spicy sauces you can choose to enjoy it, the way you love it because BBQ is as American as apple pie (even though we prefer peach.)
