The idea of Booty's was hatched way back in 1985 by Andy LiButti while he was attending Florida International University. Pepe’s Restaurants have continuously served the Southland with fine quality Mexican food. Pepe’s was founded in 1962 by three brothers, Joe, Tony and Fred. Unable to find steady business at first, the location was changed several times before finally settling in Alhambra in 1962, where the name was changed permanently to “Pepe’s.” During these early years, the brothers often relied on the help of family members to keep the business growing. In 1962, their nephew “Pepe” was sent to fight in Vietnam. This is when Tony, out of love for his nephew, renamed the restaurant after him, Pepe's. Valley Bar is located in a notable downtown building constructed in 1949 on Central Avenue just north of Adams which was once the home of The Hub art galleries, Sub Cultural Arts Center (where Sound Garden, Green Day, and Bad Brains played their stage), famed Bickoff’s Deli and the Theater Triad. Our interior decor by Patch & Clark Design is done up in a color palette full of soft yellows, cool greys, and bright whites which serves to remind you that this is sunlit Arizona.
