In 1952, a brand spanking new silver bullet diner was delivered to a small community in Upstate New York. This Mountainview Diner, built in Singac, New Jersey, Model No. 330, was slated to be “the most modern kitchen in all of upstate”. The residents of Herkimer watched in amazement as the diner was delivered on a flatbed truck and installed right along Main Street. For 65 years the Empire Diner has been the hub of the community and has held a special place in the hearts of many. Valley Bar is located in a notable downtown building constructed in 1949 on Central Avenue just north of Adams which was once the home of The Hub art galleries, Sub Cultural Arts Center (where Sound Garden, Green Day, and Bad Brains played their stage), famed Bickoff’s Deli and the Theater Triad. Our interior decor by Patch & Clark Design is done up in a color palette full of soft yellows, cool greys, and bright whites which serves to remind you that this is sunlit Arizona.
