Pepe’s Restaurants have continuously served the Southland with fine quality Mexican food. Pepe’s was founded in 1962 by three brothers, Joe, Tony and Fred. Unable to find steady business at first, the location was changed several times before finally settling in Alhambra in 1962, where the name was changed permanently to “Pepe’s.” During these early years, the brothers often relied on the help of family members to keep the business growing. In 1962, their nephew “Pepe” was sent to fight in Vietnam. This is when Tony, out of love for his nephew, renamed the restaurant after him, Pepe's. We are a neighborhood restaurant and brewery serving New American cuisine and brewing our own hand-crafted beers. With 20 taps of craft beer, we also provide a selection of other beers from local and regional craft breweries as well as a full bar featuring unique cocktails and small batch liquors. We have a dining area for up to 64 guests and a beautiful dog friendly patio for over 80 guests.
