In 1952, a brand spanking new silver bullet diner was delivered to a small community in Upstate New York. This Mountainview Diner, built in Singac, New Jersey, Model No. 330, was slated to be “the most modern kitchen in all of upstate”. The residents of Herkimer watched in amazement as the diner was delivered on a flatbed truck and installed right along Main Street. For 65 years the Empire Diner has been the hub of the community and has held a special place in the hearts of many. Among the most notable are the Best Cheeseburger and Best Bacon Cheeseburger awarded by the New York Beef Council and the most recent acclaim of Best Diner in Upstate New York as voted by hundreds of thousands of New York residents. Jay's was established in 1955 and is one of the last of it's kind..a real neighborhood tavern! Excellent drinks, great jukebox, 2 pool tables, video and dart games, a vending machine, 6 tv's, a wonderful turtle tank and a back patio to enjoy your cocktails and a smoke (if you so desire)once in a while you can even get in a game of "Korn Holeing" and win the coveted Korn Holeing Trophy handmade by Dusty herself!... At Smallcakes Cave Creek, we bake 17 unique signature cupcakes fresh every morning from scratch. Our gourmet cupcakes are moist and come in a variety of flavors. Leftover cupcakes are donated daily to Foothills Food Bank, so they are never a day old. [read more]
